Egypt's Desert Research Centre (DRC), part of the Ministry of Agriculture, has signed a cooperation protocol with Arish University to boost joint research and technical collaboration, the Cabinet said late on Sunday. The agreement covers studies, expertise exchange and consultations in environmental, agricultural and community development, with a focus on desert regions, the statement said. The DRC runs four specialised research divisions and 11 stations across Egypt's deserts, including five in North, Central and South Sinai. It will work alongside Arish University, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education, to expand scientific partnerships and promote sustainable development in border and desert areas.
