Egypt's Labour Min. discusses workforce development in Alex.
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 12 - 06 - 2025

Egypt's Labour Minister Mohamed Gobran on Thursday met Alexandria Governor Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed to discuss vocational training, youth skills development, and workforce inclusion, according to the Ministry's statement.
The minister's visit includes field tours of production sites, inspections of workers' training courses, and a seminar introducing the provisions of the new Labour Law No. 14 of 2025, set to take effect in September.
The governor and minister discussed key files of mutual interest, focusing on developing youth skills for the local and international job markets, and supporting vulnerable groups, particularly informal workers.
They also explored measures to integrate persons with disabilities into the workforce, aligning with the state's efforts to promote social justice and improve human capital efficiency, the statement added.
Saeed emphasised the importance of ongoing cooperation between the governorate and the ministry, urging intensified efforts to improve working conditions and create genuine training and employment opportunities for youth.
He noted that Alexandria is fully prepared to support initiatives that empower trained personnel to actively contribute to the country's development, in line with Egypt Vision 2030 objectives.
