Egypt's banks off on Sept. 4

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that all banks operating in the country will be closed on Thursday, September 4, 2025, to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, as per a Cabinet statement on Thursday.
Banking operations will resume on Sunday, September 7, 2025, for all public and private sector banks nationwide.
