Egypt's public sector wages rose 11.6 per cent in the fiscal year 2023/24, reaching 43.3 billion Egyptian pounds, compared to 38.8 billion pounds in 2022/2023, the CAPMAS reported on Wednesday. The report on financial statistics and indicators for public sector and public business sector companies (excluding banks and insurance firms) highlighted significant growth across key metrics, as per the report. Public business sector fixed assets rose 22.8 per cent to 1.07 trillion pounds, while projects under implementation increased 43.5 per cent to 142.4 billion pounds.
