Egypt's SCZONE signs $4m Greek garments deal

Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) on Wednesday signed a contract with Greek company Tzanidakis Marinos Co (Murphy) to establish the Mariniro ready-made garments project in West Qantara Industrial Zone.
The project will span an area of 7,000 square metres with an investment cost of $4 million (around 200 million Egyptian pounds). It is expected to create 1,000 direct jobs and will allocate 70 per cent of its production for export.
