Egypt eyes AI, digital transformation in public firms

Egypt's Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shimi has met with representatives from Masar for Consultancy and Business Development and GAIA firm for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to discuss potential cooperation.
Talks focused on applying AI technologies across the ministry's subsidiary companies to monitor operations, enhance efficiency and support digital transformation plans in line with global best practices.
The companies showcased solutions including risk management and operational safety, improving efficiency through AI, predictive maintenance to cut costs and extend equipment lifespan, and integrating modern technologies into diverse work environments.
Shimi said the ministry welcomes cooperation with leading firms in digital transformation to deliver innovative technological solutions that improve the work environment and upgrade operations, in line with Egypt's comprehensive digitalisation strategy.
