Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met with Minister of Planning, Rania Al-Mashat, to review preparations for the launch of the National Economic Development Narrative: Policies Supporting Growth and Employment. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to the narrative, describing it as a roadmap for Egypt's economic priorities in the coming years. The initiative aims to unify policies, strategies, and targets into a single platform, guiding government action and supporting ongoing economic reforms. It also seeks to enhance partnerships with private sector institutions, international organisations, and global partners. Al-Mashat explained that the narrative addresses macroeconomic stability, foreign direct investment, industrial development, foreign trade, labour market efficiency and flexibility, and regional planning to drive economic growth. She added that it includes quantitative targets reflecting the outcomes of structural and economic reforms, with a focus on promoting growth, employment, foreign investment, and localising industry. The narrative will be launched for public dialogue through specialist-led sessions, which will collect and integrate feedback into the final version, ensuring broad societal input in shaping Egypt's long-term economic vision.
