Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib met on Thursday with Indian Ambassador to Cairo Suresh Reddy to explore ways of strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries. El-Khatib highlighted the strategic depth of Egypt-India relations, built on a long history of collaboration, stressing the importance of turning these ties into concrete projects that serve both economies. He said discussions covered opportunities to increase Indian investments in Egypt, expand trade, and create new channels of partnership between business communities. The Minister pointed to Egypt's investment advantages, including skilled labour, competitive wages, and access to global markets through its extensive network of free trade and preferential agreements with major regional and international blocs. Reddy reaffirmed India's commitment to deepening cooperation with Egypt and opening new horizons for partnership, citing the strong historic ties between the two nations.
