Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi travelled Thursday to Saudi Arabia for talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that are expected to focus on the war in Gaza and other regional conflicts, Egypt's presidency said. The two leaders were scheduled to meet in the city of Neom, on the Red Sea coast. Their discussions will cover efforts to strengthen political, economic and development ties between Cairo and Riyadh, as well as regional crises including Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Red Sea security, according to the statement. Egypt and Saudi Arabia, longtime allies, have maintained close coordination on regional issues. The Egyptian presidency said the visit underscores the countries' historic ties and the leaderships' commitment to bolstering cooperation. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
