NEOM, Aug 14, 2018 – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Tuesday held summit talks in the independent economic zone, NEOM, which overlooks the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba, the Presidential Spokesman, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said in a statement published on his official Facebook page yesterday. He added that the two leaders have discussed the means of bolstering Egyptian-Saudi ties in all domains and a host of regional issues of mutual concern. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and several Egyptian and Saudi Arabian officials and dignitaries also attended the meeting. The NEOM zone covers an uninterrupted coastline of nearly 290 miles in north western Saudi Arabia and will extend into territories in neighbouring Egypt and Jordan.
