Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met with Saudi Shura Council Speaker and President Abdullah Al-Sheikh on Tuesday to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation and activating the Joint Higher Coordination Council between the two countries. In talks held at the Cabinet headquarters in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, Prime Minister Madbouly expressed hope that the long-awaited joint council would convene soon, saying it would "support bilateral relations across all fields." The meeting was attended by key officials including Egyptian Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs Mahmoud Fawzy, Saudi Ambassador to Cairo Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, and members of the Saudi Shura Council. Prime Minister Madbouly praised the "historic and strategic" relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Cairo's interest in expanding Saudi investments. He also lauded Riyadh's regional leadership and continued support for Arab interests. For his part, Al-Sheikh highlighted the efforts of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to drive sweeping national reforms and enhance ties with Arab nations, particularly Egypt. He expressed the Saudi Shura Council's commitment to deepening bilateral relations, while commending Egypt's progress on economic development and political stability.
