Egypt's Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif has signed a series of MoUs with Japanese educational institutions during his participation in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), the Cabinet said on Thursday. Abdel Latif signed an MoU with Sprix to develop a mathematics curriculum for grades 1–12 based on the Japanese model to enhance core academic skills. He also signed a protocol with Casio Middle East to train preparatory school math teachers on user guide for calculator applications, boosting teaching and student performance. The minister said the partnerships reflect the ongoing fruitful collaboration between Egypt and Japan in education, leveraging Japanese expertise to improve educational quality and develop students' scientific and knowledge-based skills. He added that these initiatives exemplify international cooperation in human capacity development, supporting integration between African nations and Japan to achieve sustainable development goals and strengthen investment in human capital.
