Egypt's "Humanitarian Kitchen," operated by the Egyptian Red Crescent, has supplied Palestinians in Gaza with 2 million loaves of bread, over 500,000 hot meals and more than 700,000 dry meals, its CEO Amal Emam said on Monday. The update came during a visit by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa to the Red Crescent's food supply hub in Sheikh Zuweid, near the Rafah border crossing. They were accompanied by Social Minister Maya Morsy, who outlined the kitchen's mission, and Amal Imam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, who detailed its operations. The initiative, launched under the supervision of the Egyptian Red Crescent, aims to strengthen humanitarian relief efforts for Palestinians amid worsening conditions in the enclave. The foreign ministers praised the "tireless work" of the Humanitarian Kitchen and urged for unhindered, immediate access of humanitarian aid to all residents of Gaza, condemning what they described as Israel's systematic use of starvation policies in the territory.
