Egypt's North Bahariya Petroleum Company (Norpetco) announced that it exceeded 108 per cent of its drilling target by completing 13 new wells and increased proven reserves by 1.5 million barrels during the past year. These results were revealed during the company's 60th general assembly meeting on Monday. The company also expanded its solar power capacity to 124 kilowatts. It launched a tender for an additional 800-kilowatt station. Alongside these achievements, Norpetco strengthened management systems, secured ISO certifications, and established a specialised operations safety department. It also conducted fourteen environmental impact assessments with zero accidents, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, replaced old pipelines with modern GRE pipelines, and began design work on a strategic pipeline linking Norpetco to Khalda Petroleum Company to enhance safety and reduce costs.
