Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity launched Amal Gadid (New Hope) initiative on Monday to economically empower women in the village of Sabk El Ahad in Monufia governorate. The programme is a cooperation between the ministry, the National Alliance for Civil Development Work and the Chinese Embassy in Cairo. It is aimed at promoting development, supporting families' economic independence, creating safe environments for children, and advancing community growth. It marks the first activation of a cooperation protocol for family and community development centres, offering training and specialised skills for women in Monufia. The initiative will support vulnerable families through small poultry farming projects in Sabk El Ahad and Saqiet Abu Shaara villages in Ashmoun district. Beneficiaries have completed six days of training by a Chinese company and will receive feed supplies and veterinary care. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
