Egypt's Industry and Transport Minister Kamel El-Wazir announced Monday his plans for leading a delegation to Côte d'Ivoire to strengthen strategic cooperation in infrastructure and industrial sectors. The planned visit follows discussions in Cairo with Côte d'Ivoire's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora, Kacou Houadja Léon Adom, focusing on joint ventures in logistics hubs, manufacturing, and trade facilitation. Minister El-Wazir highlighted Egypt's readiness to provide competitive infrastructure solutions aligned with Côte d'Ivoire's development plans. The initiative reflects both countries' ambitions to deepen economic integration and capitalize on Africa's growing investment landscape. The Egyptian minister emphasised opportunities in logistics hubs, industrial integration, and joint manufacturing ventures leveraging Côte d'Ivoire's agricultural and raw material resources. Adom lauded Egypt's role as a regional leader and highlighted ongoing collaborations with Egyptian companies like Arab Contractors and Rowad Engineering on major infrastructure projects in Côte d'Ivoire. He stressed the country's commitment to expanding cooperation across infrastructure, industry, aviation, agriculture, mineral extraction, and skills training. The meeting also covered establishing logistics zones in both countries to boost trade flows and industrial synergies. Minister El-Wazir underscored Egypt's readiness to offer competitive infrastructure solutions tailored to Côte d'Ivoire's needs.
