Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El Hefny held talks with a delegation from Boeing Commercial Airplanes led by Vice-President of Commercial Sales for Africa Anbessie Yitbarek to explore avenues of cooperation and address challenges facing the global aviation industry. The meeting focused on the ongoing disruption in global supply chains and its implications for production and aircraft delivery schedules. Both sides also discussed prospects for collaboration in technical support, fleet modernisation, and operational efficiency—key components for strengthening EgyptAir's regional and international competitiveness. Discussions included follow-up on Boeing's delivery schedule for 18 B737-8 MAX aircraft, with EgyptAir expected to begin receiving the first planes in early 2026.
