Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population reported that 1,890,242 state-funded treatment approvals were granted between January and June 2025, worth 13.2 billion Egyptian pounds, according to a ministry statement on Saturday. The statement highlighted this initiative in response to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's call to alleviate financial pressures on citizens and provide widespread access to top-notch healthcare services nationwide. Beneficiaries reached 1,584,082 with treatment approvals in various medical specialities such as oncology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, liver diseases, spinal and urological surgeries, ENT, general surgery, neurology, dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and more. The number of beneficiaries reached 1,584,082. The ministry affirmed its commitment to ensuring medical governance and facilitating access to services for persons with disabilities, in line with a broader national strategy to integrate people of determination and improve healthcare equity.
