Egypt topped a global position in exports of prepared baking powder for the year 2024, with a 20 per cent market share, exporting 12,000 tons worth $48 million, the Food Export Council (FEC) reported on Sunday. The leading destinations for Egyptian prepared baking powder in 2024 included the United States ($13 million), Germany ($10 million), the Netherlands ($7 million), the United Kingdom ($4 million), and Poland ($3 million). Together, these five countries represented 78 per cent of total exports, underlining both market diversity and the international confidence in the quality of Egyptian food products, the statement added. The report noted that Egypt's strong performance in this sector reinforces its competitive edge in global food manufacturing supply chains and confirms its ability to meet the evolving demands of international markets.
