Egypt maintained its position as the world's top exporter of frozen strawberries in 2024, capturing a 27 per cent share of the global market, with exports valued at $383 million and volumes reaching 353,000 tons, according to industry data. The country achieved notable growth over the past four years, with an average annual increase of 26 per cent in value and 24 per cent in volume between 2020 and 2024. From 2023 to 2024 alone, export value grew by 14 per cent. China topped the list of importing countries with $41.9 million in purchases, closely followed by Germany at $41.8 million, Russia with $31.1 million, the US at $30.9 million, and Poland at $30.5 million. These five markets alone accounted for 46 per cent of Egypt's total frozen strawberry exports in 2024. The sustained growth reflects the global competitiveness and consistent quality of the Egyptian product, reinforcing Egypt's strength in agricultural exports and highlighting opportunities to further expand market share in new destinations.
