China's nationwide per capita disposable income reached 21,840 yuan in the first half of 2025, marking a nominal year-on-year increase of 5.3 per cent and a real rise of 5.4 per cent after accounting for inflation, official data showed on Tuesday. Urban residents recorded an average per capita disposable income of 28,844 yuan, up 4.7 per cent in both nominal and real terms.
