Egypt signs deals with global firms to boost digital hospitality training
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 12 - 06 - 2025

Egypt's Chamber of Tourist Establishments (CTE) signed two strategic cooperation protocols on Monday with leading international providers of digital hospitality training, in a move aimed at enhancing workforce skills across the tourism sector.
Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy witnessed the signing of the agreements — one with Sommet Education, a Swiss-based global leader in hospitality and culinary training, and another with Lobster Ink, a top e-learning platform specialising in scalable hospitality training solutions.
The agreement with Sommet Education is designed to develop the skills of Egyptian professionals working in the hotel industry by offering them access to world-class training and international expertise. The second protocol with Lobster Ink will help roll out digital learning content to hotel employees across Egypt, expanding accessibility and training efficiency.
In remarks following the ceremony, Minister Fathy highlighted the government's commitment to investing in human capital, calling digital transformation a key driver of tourism sector competitiveness. He also emphasised the role of modern technologies — including artificial intelligence — in providing flexible, cost-effective, and high-impact training tools.
"These collaborations represent a long-term investment in our workforce and the future of tourism in Egypt," Minister Fathy said, commending CTE's leadership and training teams for tailoring programmes to the sector's evolving needs.
The minister called for more diversified training methods and a broader shift toward digital and remote learning models to accelerate upskilling across the country.
