Egypt's National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) has implemented various modern payment methods on the three Cairo metro lines and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) network to improve passenger access and alleviate congestion during busy times. The move supports Egypt's national strategy for developing an integrated, advanced, and eco-friendly public transport system that meets the needs of all citizens and aligns with the country's sustainable development vision. For the metro network, payment options include monthly and seasonal subscriptions, rechargeable e-wallet cards, ticket vending machines (TVMs) available at selected stations, and single-use tickets available at ticket counters. As for the LRT network, passengers can access monthly subscriptions, contactless ticket cards, and TVMs installed at all stations. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: M. S. Salama
