Egypt ranked second in the African Development Bank's (AfDB) 2024 Public Service Delivery Index, scoring 58.99 percentage points, surpassing both the general and regional averages for the first time, the Cabinet said. According to the report, Egypt ranked first in the energy and electricity pillar and secured top positions in several sub-indicators, including infrastructure in industrial zones, road networks, youth employment, and vocational training. The AfDB praised the progress of Egypt's electricity sector, its legal reforms supporting women's empowerment, and the government's strategy to develop the transport sector to boost regional integration and position the country as a logistics hub.
