Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny met with the President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Kuwait Hamoud Mubarak to enhance bilateral cooperation in civil aviation, the Cabinet said. The two sides reviewed ways to increase flight operations, expand technical and administrative training, and explore investment opportunities in Egypt's airport sector. The meeting also discussed outcomes of recent technical meetings between the two countries' aviation authorities. El-Hefny highlighted the strategic depth of Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations, describing them as a model for constructive Arab cooperation. He noted that Egypt's civil aviation sector is undergoing comprehensive development, presenting promising opportunities for joint ventures, particularly with Kuwait. He praised Kuwait's rapid progress in aviation infrastructure and airline operations, saying it reflects a bold strategic vision positioning Kuwait as a regional hub for air transport, according to the statement. Hamoud affirmed Kuwait's full support for Egypt's candidacy in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) elections, stressing the importance of Arab solidarity to address global challenges and foster sustainable growth in the aviation sector.
