Egypt's Minister of Housing Sherif Sherbiny met on Tuesday with Japanese Titan Capital's owner Kanazawa Yukio to explore potential cooperation in real estate development and technology localisation, as per a Cabinet statement. Sherbiny presented investment opportunities in Egypt's new urban communities and reaffirmed Egypt's strong ties with Japan and the ministry's commitment to strengthening partnerships with foreign investors. He expressed Egypt's readiness to support Japanese companies in launching ventures in urban, infrastructure, tourism, and utility-related projects under various partnership models, as stated in the release. The minister also highlighted investment prospects in manufacturing components for infrastructure projects and seawater desalination plants, an area where Egypt is actively seeking international expertise and joint ventures. He noted that Egypt has a strategic plan for building new desalination plants and that demand is growing in targeted zones. Kanazawa praised Egypt's urban transformation and infrastructure boom, noting the impressive development of smart cities and modern transport networks. He described Egypt's investment climate as significantly improved, with clearer policies, incentives, and strong political will to position the country as a regional hub for real estate and development. Titan Capital expressed its intent to inject new investments into Egypt's housing and urban development sectors, aiming to establish long-term partnerships with the Ministry of Housing.
