Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar witnessed the signing of a five-party cooperation protocol to launch the "Decent Housing for a Decent Life" Programme. The protocol was signed by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Local Development, the Hayah Karima Foundation, Misr El Kheir Foundation, and the Orman Charity Association. It aims to formally launch the housing project and set out implementation mechanisms to ensure timely delivery and effective interventions. The project will see the development and rehabilitation of approximately 80,000 homes for low-income families in 1,477 villages across 20 governorates as part of the first phase of the presidential Decent Life initiative. Most of the reconstruction and renovation work will be carried out by local labour from within the villages, creating new job opportunities and supporting the government's broader efforts to promote social justice and improve living conditions for all citizens.
