Egypt's reserve money (M0) rose to 2.166 trillion Egyptian pounds at the end of May, up from 2.045 trillion pounds in April, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Monday. M0 — a key measure of liquidity in the central bank's monetary policy toolkit — includes currency in circulation outside CBE vaults and banks' local currency deposits. Currency in circulation reached 1.452 trillion pounds in May, compared with 1.411 trillion pounds a month earlier.
