China's urban surveyed unemployment rate declined to 5.0 per cent in May, down 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced on Monday. The average urban unemployment rate for the first five months of 2025 stood at 5.2 per cent, the report showed. The surveyed unemployment rate for individuals with both local and non-local household registration was 5.0 per cent.
