Thndr, Egypt's leading investment platform, has launched Thndr Trader, a new subscription plan targeting experienced investors with Egypt's first advanced trading platform designed for speed, precision, and control, it said in a statement Monday. The plan, priced at 245 Egyptian pounds ($4.86) per month, offers commission-free trading for the first 50 executed orders each month and access to ThndrX, the company's new professional-grade trading interface. Thndr says the initiative aims to promote disciplined trading rather than high-volume transactions. "We didn't build this plan to boost short-term revenue," said Ahmad Hammouda, Co-Founder and CEO of Thndr. "We built it because we've seen that real traders in Egypt are underserved. They put in the time and effort — they study and analyse — and we wanted to give them the platform and pricing they actually deserve." The company said Thndr Trader could help active traders cut annual commission costs by as much as 46 per cent. The launch follows an analysis of more than 10,000 traders, revealing demand for tools tailored to serious investors. Thndr cemented its role as Egypt's top retail brokerage in 2024, accounting for 174.1 billion pounds in traded value, or 11 per cent of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) retail market, while bringing 190,000 new investors to the bourse.
