Egypt's stock market (EGX) closed mostly higher on Wednesday. The main index, EGX30, went up by 0.09 per cent, to 32,935.19 points. The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.04 per cent, to 3,434.01 points. The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 0.18 per cent, to 9,864.92 points. The index, EGX100, index added 0.12 per cent, to 13,379.52 points. The total market capitalisation reached 2,332,626,802,525 Egyptian pounds. Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 845,632,449 Egyptian pounds and 3,346,104,733 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Arabs were net sellers with a total of 4,191,737,182 Egyptian pounds. Top gainers 1. Samad Misr -EGYFERT shares rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 150.860 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. Certificates of Odin Egyptian Equity Investment Fund-KASAB shares climbed by 19.44 per cent, to trade at the price of 1.720 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Mohandes Insurance shares jumped by 12.31 per cent, to the purchasing price of 20.350 Egyptian pounds a share. Top losers 1. North Cairo Mills shares fell by 5.02 per cent, to close at 52.830 Egyptian pounds a share. 2. El Ahram Co. For Printing And Packing shares dropped by 4.87 per cent, to close at the price of 8.990 Egyptian pounds a share. 3. Golden Coast Company shares declined by 4.84 per cent, to close at 3.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
