Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib held an extensive meeting with heads of Arab Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany to review the country's economic policies and investment opportunities. El-Khatib emphasised the important role of chambers of commerce as key partners in economic development, highlighting their support for business communities and creating a favourable business environment, as per an official statement. He also highlighted the state's current approach towards implementing effective measures to encourage and stimulate investments across all fields, offering all possible facilities to investors in various productive and service sectors. El-Khatib stated that there is cooperation and coordination between all ministries and relevant authorities to support investors and maximise available investment opportunities in Egypt, according to the statement. He noted the ministry's commitment to providing further facilitation for investors, exporters, and importers, contributing to attracting more investments and easing Egypt's foreign trade operations. Furthermore, he outlined an overview of the investment landscape in Egypt and the state's future plans to enhance the business environment, as well as the opportunities and advantages of investing in the Egyptian market. He pointed out that the government aims to create an attractive and stimulating investment climate for the private sector through clear and long-term policies, enabling it to lead the economic development process. El-Khatib emphasised state efforts to implement reforms in financial, monetary, and trade policies to improve foreign trade efficiency and enhance Egypt's economic competitiveness, the statement added. He highlighted Egypt's investment potential, modern infrastructure, skilled labour force, and strategic location.
