Qatar signed a landmark agreement with Boeing on Wednesday to purchase 160 jets for state-owned Qatar Airways, a deal valued at $200 billion, during US President Donald Trump's visit to Doha.
Trump and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the signing ceremony, marking what Trump called the "largest order of jets" in the US manufacturer's history.
The massive order underscores deepening economic ties between Washington and Doha and highlights Qatar's ambitions to expand its global aviation footprint through its flagship carrier.
Details on the specific models included in the order were not immediately available.
The announcement follows a joint declaration of cooperation signed earlier in the day, with both leaders pledging to elevate US-Qatar relations to a "new level."
