Egypt's Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif met with the Regional Director for Human Development in the Middle East and North Africa at the World Bank Fadia Sada to explore collaboration opportunities in pre-university education. Abdel Latif emphasised the ministry's recent efforts to tackle education system challenges like overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, and boosting school attendance, according to a Cabinet statement on Wednesday. He also highlighted the restructuring of the secondary stage in accordance with global standards to provide teachers with the opportunity to deliver quality educational processes within the classroom, with accredited hours for core subjects. highlighted the ministry's commitment to enhancing the educational system and integrating programming principles into the curriculum to align with global educational advancements. Sada conveyed the World Bank's backing for the ministry through joint projects and programs, expressing a commitment to strengthen the partnership and offer further assistance in implementing the Ministry's strategic plan. She praised Egypt's focus on human development, highlighting that it has been placed at the heart of the country's priorities, recognising it as the foundation for building a productive society, the statement added.
