The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, is auctioning on Thursday dollar-denominated treasury bills worth $70 million, according to a CBE statement on its website. The auction is in two tranches: 182-day T-bills worth 30 billion pounds to mature on 11/11/2025 and 364-day T-bills worth 40 billion pounds to mature on 12/05/2026, as per the statement. The Ministry of Finance authorises the CBE to manage the issuance of these bills throughout the financial year, with proceeds used to finance and cover expenditures outlined in the state's current financial year budget (2023-2024).
