Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aty on Sunday offered his condolences to Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar over the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir, expressing Egypt's solidarity with the government and people of India during this difficult time. He reaffirmed Egypt's full rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism. During a phone call, Abdel-Aty stressed the importance of working towards de-escalation and exercising restraint at this critical stage to prevent further deterioration and escalation, in support of regional security and stability. The two ministers also exchanged views on developments in South Asia following the recent terrorist incident. For his part, India's Foreign Minister expressed deep appreciation for the kind gesture and the phone call made by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24, during which Sisi extended condolences to the Indian government following the Kashmir attack. Jaishankar praised the historic ties between Egypt and India, affirming India's eagerness to continue joint cooperation to strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations across all areas.
