President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed that Egypt's economy is witnessing positive indicators, citing the recent approval of a new tranche from the International Monetary Fund. He praised the resilience of the Egyptian people and the strength of state institutions, particularly the Armed Forces and the civilian police, as key pillars of stability in these exceptional times. Speaking at the annual Iftar hosted by the Armed Forces on Monday evening, President Sisi reassured Egyptians, acknowledging their concerns about current events. He pointed out that the country is incurring monthly losses of approximately $800 million due to disrupted Suez Canal revenues amid regional tensions. The president also stressed the importance of constructive media, engaging in a discussion with actor Samah Hussein and commending his Ramadan programme. He underscored the role of media in promoting Egyptian values and called on families, schools, religious institutions, and the government to work together in shaping a principled society.
