Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement with AstraZeneca Egypt to launch the Bidayet Tabib (Doctor's Beginning) Programme in partnership with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. The initiative aims to enhance the skills of newly graduated doctors, supporting Egypt's investment in human capital and the goals of Egypt Vision 2030. The programme will provide specialised training for doctors in primary care and family medicine, featuring lectures on the latest treatment protocols and early disease detection to improve healthcare services nationwide. Accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the training covers key medical disciplines, including cardiology, nephrology, vascular medicine, pulmonology, immunology, oncology, and chronic diseases. Courses will also focus on early diagnosis and advanced treatment techniques to enhance medical expertise and ensure sustainable, high-quality healthcare. Doctors completing the training will undergo assessment tests, qualifying them for official certification from both Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
