Kuwait's BoodaiCorp is exploring significant expansion plans in Egypt, including the development of a public transport system inspired by its successful projects in Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, according to an Egyptian Cabinet statement on Sunday. During an official visit to Kuwait, Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib met with a delegation from BoodaiCorp to discuss investment opportunities. In addition to public transport, BoodaiCorp, which currently operates in seven Egyptian airports, plans to expand its presence to nine, including Alamein and Hurghada airports. The company also owns Jazeera Airways, which operates in Egypt, and has expressed strong interest in further developing its aviation investments in the country. Minister El-Khatib emphasised Egypt's commitment to enhancing its investment climate through a series of reforms, including streamlining business procedures, reducing customs clearance times to just two days, and cutting bureaucratic hurdles to attract foreign investors. To further bolster infrastructure investments, Egypt is conducting a comprehensive study on its airport sector in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). This study aims to lay the groundwork for future partnerships and development projects. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English
