Russian stock indices surge in early trade

The MOEX index surged by 3.17 per cent on Monday, reaching 2,746.97 points, while the RTS index also climbed by 3.17 per cent to 1,044.7 points.
By 10:15 Moscow time, the MOEX index stood at 2,744.47 points (+3.08 per cent) and the RTS index at 943.84 points (+3.08 per cent).
Simultaneously, the yuan experienced a decline, falling to 11.7 rubles, down by 13.8 kopecks. This mixed performance highlights the dynamic nature of the Russian financial market.
