Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 25 - 06 - 2024

The sixth edition of Big 5 Construct Egypt, the country's flagship construction industry event, kicked off in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday.
Under the patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, the event is taking place on June 25-27 at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC), Cairo.
This year's edition is particularly significant, coinciding with a period of robust expansion in Egypt's construction market. The sector is anticipated to boom by 7.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in the current fiscal year 2023-2024 and is projected to increase by 7.9 per cent YoY in 2024-2025, according to BMI Research.
"In its 6th edition, Big 5 Construct Egypt 2024 continues to be a landmark event that not only reflects the current growth of Egypt's construction sector but also paves the way for future developments," said Mehtap Gürsoy, Portfolio Director – Construction at dmg events, the organiser of Big 5 Construct Egypt, in a statement.
"Big 5 Construct Egypt is a landmark event," Gürsoy added. "It not only showcases the current growth but also paves the way for future developments in Egypt's construction industry."
With 20 countries participating in this year's edition, Big 5 Construct Egypt will feature outstanding construction solutions from China, Germany, Italy, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Spain, Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan, Greece, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea, among others.
"The event showcases the finest construction products, services and expertise from each participating country, highlighting the role of local and international exhibitors in supporting the country's economic growth," Gürsoy noted.
The event is expected to bring together 20,000 construction and engineering professionals.
