Egypt Trade Union Federation (ETUF) is holding today the first workshop over the negatives of the Civil Employees Act 47/1978. ETUF's board and Chairmen of General Syndicates will take part in the workshop, which will last for 3 days, in addition to a number of legal experts, economists and sociologists. Abdel Fattah Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of ETUF, said the workshop will look into the current act, which had been activated since 35 years; aiming to prepare a new bill achieves stability for 6 million employees in the government sector, and to be even to the other sectors in getting wages, allowances and promotions.
