Current Economic Growth Rates Insufficient To Generate Needed Jobs; Says Egypt's PM

Egyptian Prime Minister, Hisham kandil, delivered a keynote on Sunday at the 2nd annual conference of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) MENA Regional Council hosted by AmCham Egypt and entitled “MENA Regional Development Opportunities: US and Multilateral Support Programs".
Kandil said: This month, we are marking the 2nd annual conference of the AmCham and also the 2nd anniversary of the Egyptian and Tunisian Revolution."
The PM talked about the similarities between the Egyptian and the Tunisian revolutions, as well as the achievements they accomplished, like the freedom and the women rights, which deserve all respect.
Kandil has stated that the government is working on achieving the aims of the Egyptian revolution, and if people are following up the media; they will know.
On the other side, Kandil talked about the Egyptian economy, as it is not growing at rates sufficient to generate needed jobs. But the Egyptian government is working on resolving all the economic problems.
Kandil talking about resolving the economic problems, “I have faith in Egyptian youth, Egypt is rich and luck", adding that “We blame each other, so we need to be softer and lets work with each other to achieve success".
Furthermore, the prime minister has mentioned the government's plan in the coming period, which is the government will continue its performance, deal with the budget deficit, resolve problems of subsidy, and support all sectors to achieve growth. And Egypt will back on track by resolving all the fiscal problems and budget deficit.
As to the economic crisis in Egypt, kandil said the government launched 10 days ago an initiative about the Egyptian economy. The initiative is about 7 sessions that discuss what the government had done for the economic problems and what is going to do. It was attended by 600 experts, media figures and politicians.
Kandil concluded that the government is seeking a wide dialogue in order to collect ideas to support the economy.
