The 7th edition of the Builders of Egypt Forum will kick off on June 20 to showcase Egyptian construction companies' role in forging development strategies in Africa and the Arab world.
Under the theme of Development and Funding Opportunities in Africa and the Arab Region in the Shadow of Global Uncertainties, the event is organised by the African federation of Construction Contractors associations (AFCCA) in cooperation with Exlnt Communications, a subsidiary of United Media Services (UMS), and the Egyptian African Arab Company for Development (EGAAD).
Under the patronage of the Egyptian government, the Forum will take place in Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and designed to boost manufacturing, tourism, health, and education sectors
This year's edition gains major importance due to the broad-based participation of government-level delegates from African and Arab countries. Hence, the forum will bring the Egyptian construction companies the support to expand their presence abroad, especially in Africa and the Arab countries. Therefore, the construction sector will duly witness exponential growth rates.
The companies that taking part in Egypt will explore first of its kind investment opportunities that will harness their market enlargement plans in return.
The Forum will highlight the potential of the Egyptian construction companies despite the current economic crisis affected by the global transitions.
It will also provide the opportunity for the governmental entities and the concerned parties to share ideas about achieving the comprehensive programmes to accomplish country-level sustainable development.
They will also review the planned procedures to support the major industries, in particular the construction sector and all the feeding industries.
The launch of the edition also has a competitive edge amid the global economic and financial challenges, which necessitate imposing international monetary policies that significantly impacted the global growth rate, as well as the sustainable development strategies, especially in the emerging markets. The forum will address the challenges facing the construction sector, as well as recommend the solutions to overcome the repercussions of the crisis to ensure that the sector will constantly achieve the targeted growth rates.
Further, the Forum's targets coincide with the sustainable development strategies adopted by the Arab and African governments. These strategies forge the countries to utilise their geographical position to expand by establishing new tourist cities and increase the foreign currency flow. The Forum also enables the construction firms to optimise bilateral cooperation.
Builders of Egypt will also showcase the country-level industrial expansion aiming at maximising the economic growth rates. This is in addition to the construction activities accomplished in the participating Arab and African countries related to boosting projects of vital importance, including the medical, educational, infrastructure, and new cities.
Egypt's strategic vision 2030 and green building transition will be among the Forum's discussion topics, pursuing to mitigate the negative environmental footprint and reduce greenhouse emissions. Egypt is hosting next November the COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh.
The Forum will witness extended ministerial attendance either on the national, regional, or continental levels. It will bring together high-level government officials in Egypt, along with leading industry experts in the sectors of construction, contracting real estate development, and building materials. The event will also host C-suite executives of international financing institutions, and the heads of concerned federations and business associations in Arab and African countries, which will enable the participating companies to explore new investment opportunities.
Since 2014, Builders of Egypt Forum has always been the largest event ever of mega importance for construction and contracting sectors in Egypt and Africa, driven by the government's extended support to boost the investment ecosystem in construction and sustainable development. It brings together the construction companies along with feeding sectors such as real-estate investments, and building materials.
