The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has announced that the first week of Ramadan will see fine weather across the country's northern coast, hot weather in Lower Egypt, Cairo and the northern areas of Upper Egypt, and extremely hot weather in the southern areas of Upper Egypt. Temperatures will drop at the beginning of the second week, with winds no longer coming from the Arab Peninsula, instead coming from southwest Europe. Temperatures in coastal areas during the first week of Ramadan are expected to range between 30-32 degrees Celcius, reaching between 35-37 degrees Celcius in Cairo and Lower Egypt, and 40-42 degrees Celcius in southern parts of Upper Egypt.
