Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit renewed his statements rejecting foreign intervention in Egypt's internal affairs. He said some foreign talks that address Egypt's internal affairs in an unacceptable way are trying to determine priorities for the Egyptian people, government, political system and armed forces. Egyptian people do not want foreign intervention and are capable of overcoming the current crisis, said Aboul Gheit. Aboul Gheit called on the regional and international media to deal objectively with the situation and to transmit all facts, including government decisions and steps toward meeting protesters' demands. He said he received phone calls from many Arab and European leaders questioning the reality of the political situation in Egypt in the light of recent events.
