Violent behavior, sleep disorders, stammering and involuntary urination are some of the psychological problems suffered by the children of Gaza after the recent Israeli aggression, which has not only left more than 1500 people dead and 5000 injured, but also a lot of psychological problems, especially among children. All Gaza's children and some 60%-65% suffer from psychological problems. This fact has been announced by the delegation of the Arab Psychiatrists' Union that managed to enter Gaza two days ago through the Rafah crossing. The psychiatrists visited 15 schools, 15 nurseries and 125 Palestinian houses. Dr Ahmed Okasha, Professor of Psychiatry and chairman of the Arab Psychiatrists' Union said he had contacts with the delegation in Gaza who told him about the psychological suffering experienced by people there, especially in light of the continued siege on Gaza and lack of basic foodstuffs. The union decided to send groups of psychologists and social workers to Gaza every week, Okasha said.
