Approximately 300 lawyers staged a demonstration on Tuesday in Suez to protest the alleged assault of their colleague Mohamed Azazi by a police officer. Bar Association member Wael el-Shazly said he will file a complaint with the attorney general and attach to it a medical report of the injuries that Corporal Hatem Nour Eddin allegedly caused to the victim. Azazi says Corporal Nour Eddin punched him in the face while he was visiting a client detained in the police station. The protestors demanded the officer be suspended and brought to trial. Meanwhile, lawyers in Aswan have objected to the Aswan Court president's decision to rent a space in the court building to a clothing shop. The lawyers say they are crammed in a small room on the second floor and the extra space should be given to them. Translated from the Arabic Edition.
