Egypt was ranked eighth among the Arab States in the Responsible Competitiveness Report that was announced yesterday at the World Economic Forum, with a 59.4% on the index. The Emirates came first, followed by Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan, while Mauritania came last among 15 countries covered by the report. The report, issued by Account Ability, a non-profit research institution, and Sustainability Excellence Arabia (SEA), a research center based in Jordan, said Egypt, Kuwait and Lebanon are examples of States that have enacted laws for sustainable management, pointing out that Egypt was the first Arab country to make a law for governance.
