The Government Reduces Prices of Frozen Meat, Brazilian Poultry, Butter and Fish at the Co-ops

The government has reduced the prices of a number of consumable commodities, at the co-ops belonging to the holding company for food industries, in greater Cairo and the other branches in the other governorates. The price reduction included, first and for most, the imported frozen meat and liver, the Brazilian poultry, the New Zealander butter and the fillet fish. However the prices of the packed free sugar and the local beef meat remain the same at LE 2.75 per kilo for sugar, LE 33 per kilo for veal meat and LE 26 per kilo for beef meat.
Furthermore, the government has decided to reduce the prices of the frozen meat parts: LE 19 instead of LE 20 per a kilo of shoulder, throat or spine meat; LE 19.5 instead of LE 21 per kilo of the Brazilian thigh core meat; LE 21 instead of LE 22 per a kilo of  meat fingers; LE 24 instead of LE 26 per kilo of frozen veins; LE 11 instead of LE 12 per kilo of American liver; LE 10 instead of LE 11 per kilo of " Passa" fillet fish, and LE 13 instead of LE 15 per kilo of imported New Zealander butter.
Moreover, the prices of frozen Brazilian poultry have also been reduced.  The changes in the prices are as follows: 900 grams of chicken is LE 13.5, 1 kilo of chicken is LE 15, 1.1 kg is LE 16.5, 1.3 kg is LE 19.5 and 1.4 kg is LE 21. In addition, macaroni, produced by the grinding mill companies, has also been reduced and sold for the following prices:
a 400 g packet for LE 1.25, 500g packet for LE 1.5, and LE 1.6 for a 550 g packet. As for the vegetarian butter; the 1 kilo Rawabi can is reduced to LE 9.5, Hanadi 1 liter food oil bottle for LE 6, Slight 1 liter bottle for LE 8.75, 'Afiyah 1 liter bottle for LE 12.5, Hilwah 1 liter bottle for LE 6.25 and from LE 5 to LE 6 for 1 liter bottle of mixed oil.
Meanwhile, the holding company for food industries has decided to increase the amounts of the offered essential commodities in the resort governorates during July and August. The offered commodities include sugar, rice, flour, vegetarian oil, vegetarian butter, frozen meat and poultry, fresh and frozen fish.
